General information

We are a true Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) club with programs for all ages in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai-Kickboxing,MMA, ITF Taekwon-Do, MMA Conditioning CombatFit and Best Kids After School Program.
The BJJ taught at Team Florin's Evolution Martial Arts Academy is under the directions of Prof. Florin Fratean BTT Black Belt and "The BJJ Connection" by Prof Ben Meireles, a Black Belt under Prof Fabio Holanda and Brazilian Top Team Canada.
We have programs targeted specifically at building skills and knowledge to successfully compete in local and regional tournaments. Our athletes have won the Canadian grappling championships, Joslin's Grappling Open and have ranked first in the Ontario BJJ Federation rankings. Team Florin's Martial Arts has competed and medaled in the Ottawa BJJ Open (Gi and Nogi), Pan Nogi Championship, Ottawa Open International Jiu Jitsu Championship (Gi and Nogi), Ontario Open International Jiu Jitsu Championship, Toronto Open International IBJJF Championship, Montreal Grappling Grand Prix, NAGA Montreal, Montreal Open International IBJJF Championship and Grapplers Quest North American Championships. We also have a very successful Muay Thai and MMA team, competing most recently on the MMA and Muay Thai cards as Hybrid,Victory, WKF(Won the title belt), WAMTAK (Won the Title belt), US National Muay Thai (Two second place.)
Florin's Martial Arts Training Academy offers programs that builds self-defence capabilities, self-confidence and physical fitness. Our kids' program curriculum is designed to build skills at the right pace for your child, in a safe and fun environment. For parents of busy families, our schedule tries to provide opportunities for children of varied ages, or a parent and a child, to join classes occurring at the same time, making it an opportunity for the entire family, which means less running around to different activities.
