AIM Altitude specialises in the design and manufacture of the complete range of cabin interiors to provide added value and vital differentiation for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers, airlines and leasing companies.

The origins of AIM Altitude go back to the early 20th century when the parts of the Group were independent companies:

Jecco was founded in Bournemouth in 1926 under the name John E Clarke and Company Ltd, a coach and car trimming business designing car hoods, coachworks and other products for the then UK Ministry of Defence. The company’s reputation for innovation has progressed from the design and manufacture of complete interiors for Saab Aircraft and Concorde to leading-edge cabin interiors on Airbus and Boeing wide and narrow body aircraft.

Henshalls, based in Byfleet, began life in the early 1900s making milk churns amongst other products, before developing into a sophisticated design-led manufacturer of Galley systems and associated interior components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

AIM Composites was founded more recently in 1984 at Waterbeach, Cambridge and is one of the leading composite companies in Europe, working with the latest materials and technologies for a wide range of customers in Aerospace and related industries. The company has extended its capabilities with extensive fire and NDT testing facilities, Chameleon™ panel finishing and radome repair.

Altitude, the newest member of AIM Altitude, was formed in 2008 when the design engineering department was separated from Air New Zealand’s Technical Operations to form a standalone design engineering business. The origins of the company were in the retrofit of Boeing aircraft for the Air New Zealand and BBJ conversions.

Today the group is one of the leading global suppliers of cabin interiors to the world’s leading airlines and OEM’s including Boeing, Airbus and manufacturers of regional aircraft.
