General information

We provide a high quality, client centred service assisting homeless & potentially homeless people by securing sustainable homes & developing services that address unmet needs. We are a Bond Guarantee & Tenancy Support scheme for single homeless people & families in Calderdale. Our ultimate aim is to empower people to live independently and to give them the skills to successfully maintain their tenancies. We are a Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Centre & provide free courses.
SmartMove benefits the community in many ways, by helping provide accomodation for local vulnerable people. We also provide many different courses such as healthy lifestlyes,grow your own fruit & veg on our allotment, IT skils, job clubs, yoga,help with reading and writing, How to manage your money sessions, arts & crafts and training to become a volunteer. Our clients research & create booklets which benefit the community e.g. Where to Learn in Calderdale and How to run your Tenancy Handbook.
Good OFSTED inspection with an excellent for educational work in the Community. Awarded Calderdale Adult Education Quality Assured Centre.
