For 90 years the company has been operating in risk and insurance management. One of the world's leading brokers Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) is a shareholder in the GrECo JLT Group. This gives GrECo JLT access to international know how and a worldwide service network. The core of the JLT International Network is an exclusive trading agreement between JLT (UK), SIACI (FR), the Ecclesia Group (DE), Marine & Aviation JLT (IT), March JLT (ES) and the GrECo JLT Group.

GrECo JLT 's clients are mainly from the area of industry, commerce and authorities. The Group services multinational as well as local companies in all areas of the economy. Beside the core business as broker and consultant for corporate insurances the GrECo JLT Group is also engaged in reinsurance brokerage, online insurance comparison for private customers and software development.
