Úton Badacsonyból Keszthely felé a Balaton északi partján, ahol a szőlők az erdővel határosak, már távolról látható a Helikon Taverna klasszicista stílusú épülete. Már a XVIII. században borozó állt ezen a helyen, melyet 1810-ben Festetics György gróf, - a keszthelyi Helikon alapítója – vásárolt meg és alakított át présházzá.
