Szer a magyarság történelmének meghatározó helyszíne, hazánk nemzeti emlékhelye. Anonymus szerint Árpád vezér és nemesei itt "ejtették szerét" az ország minden dolgának. A Kiskunsági Nemzeti Park területén elhelyezkedő, 55 hektáros Nemzeti Történeti Emlékpark számtalan látnivalója, programja megeleveníti, kézzel foghatóvá teszi a múltat. 1995 óta itt tekinthető meg Feszty Árpád monumentális körképfestménye, A magyarok bejövetele.
