A pesterzsébeti Hajós Alfréd Általános Iskola Iskola 1982 szeptemberében mint testnevelés tagozatos iskola nyitotta meg kapuját 530 tanulóval és 53 pedagógus statussal. Néhány év alatt majd 1100 fő tanulónk lett. Az 1999/2000. tanévben 442 fő, a 2003/2004. tanévben 418 fő tanulólétszámunk. 19 tanulócsoporttal, alsó tagozaton 5 iskolaotthonos és 5 napközi otthonos osztállyal, felső tagozaton az osztályok mellett 1 napközis csoporttal és 1 tanulószobával működik az intézmény.
